I've worked at Sprague for over 12 years and I can say that it's been the best job I've had, by far. I've seen and had offers from other companies and other industries and none compare to this as my tenure can attest to. The pay is good and there are endless avenues to earn more, be it overtime, product sales, sale commissions, bonuses, etc. I've worked for a couple different branches myself and I've been Sent to help out branches all across the states we are in. The paid time off they give is pretty generous. You must be disciplined and be good with time management but if you can manage your own route, it's not a hard job. There is overtime in the busy season, but managers are really good about giving time off when requested, if it's reasonable. Get your route done efficiently, with good quality and keep.your clients happy and you'll enjoy so much freedom with your time. We have nice trucks and you get to take them home with all vehicle expenses paid for. I've worked in a few industries over the decades and I can easily see myself retiring here. I've made great money, seen cool places and have enjoyed working with some awesome people. I encourage anyone who's looking to start a career that they can build on to apply. Even if we don't have an open position, you will be interviewed and if you're a good fit, you may receive a call when a position comes available. Sprague Pest Control came out to my apartment after being hired by my apartment complex to come look after I found a bed bug (and was bitten), and said what I found was not a bed bug (see first attached image) and showed me photos of adult bed bugs. And that nymphs were exclusively transparent. Unable to find any in my apartment after a quick search, the tech told me I did not have them and whatever I found was probably a carpet beetle and there were thousands of species. And wouldn’t you know it, I found one a couple weeks later (second image)I ended up just paying someone else to have my belongings treated and moved to a storage unit until the end of my lease which is fortunately soon.Particularly frustrating as bed bugs breed quickly and are likely from a neighbor (who as a result of the negative ID in my apartment were not checked) and I’ve found a couple dead on the baseboard I treated myself with Crossfire (a bed bug product).I did try to resolve this issue through the main fb page and website and said they were “addressing the issue” but no follow up after several weeks. The apartment complex staff haven’t followed up and seem to not believe me now as a result either. Of course, this is an also an issue with my apartment management I cannot blame on Sprague.A real shame as people in these situations who are not well versed in pests may have believed them the first time and sunk themselves a financial hole of a much worse infestation of thinking they were “just carpet beetles.” I also wouldn’t really trust them to treat my place because if their techs can’t even identify a bed bug what’s the point 😂
